The MARS New Zealand Reference is the closest commercially available variant to the true New Zealand MARS-L rifle. This semi-auto model includes the same requirements needed for the NZ defense contract. Features include; LMT Metric flip-up sights, bayonet lug, Surefire Warcomp flash hider, enhanced trigger guard, QD receiver end plate, ambidextrous charging handle and MARS-L ambidextrous lower receiver.
This rifle utilizes the LMT patented MRP(Monolithic Rail Platform), the only true monolithic rail system, milled from a single high-grade aluminum forging. Two locking bolts ensure the barrel extension is firmly locked into place. MRP technology engages the barrel extension at a full 360 degrees and allows for easy barrel removal while minimizing point of impact shift. One receiver can support various barrel lengths and calibers.
